How Credit Restoration Works
Many consumers
are under the impression that nothing can be done to improve their credit
score. Thankfully, this is not true. Federal law gives you the right to remove
or correct misinformation on your credit reports. You are ultimately responsible for assuring
that your credit reports accurately represent your behavior as a consumer.
What We
Do
We leverage your consumer rights to
engage the credit bureaus and your creditors to remove any inaccurate and
unverifiable items from your credit report.
Our Process
We demand validation and verification of derogatory
information using the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act,
the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
These four laws have been established to protect consumers’ credit reports.
Creditors and credit bureaus are legally obligated to produce documented
evidence within a reasonable amount of time, generally 30 days, to back the
claims they make. If they cannot validate their claims, they must promptly
remove any undocumented information from the consumer’s credit report.
· FREE CREDIT REPORT EVALUATION
Your credit consultant will look at your
TransUnion, Experian and Equifax credit reports and go over them with you line
by line. (If you don’t have your current reports we can order them for
you.)
· CUSTOMIZED CREDIT REPAIR PLAN
If you decide that you would like to
proceed with our program, your credit consultant will put together a plan of
attack to get your negative and incorrect items removed from your credit
reports in accordance with the FCRA, HIPAA, FCBA and other consumer laws.
· SEND ANY CORRESPONDENCE TO US
You will begin to receive
correspondence from credit reporting agencies within the first 30-45 days.
Simply send any correspondence to us using the labels we provide to you in your
welcome packet.
How Much Does
It Cost?
Because everyone situation and every credit report is different, the cost to restore your credit will be on a case-by-case basis.
You have two very
important responsibilities during our credit repair process.
1 – Open all of
your mail.
2 –
Forward/Send us any and all information from the credit bureaus.
You will
receive credit correspondence in the mail every 25-45 days. On the very top of those
correspondence reports it will specifically outline the results to our
investigations. Once you review the results, mail or fax us those credit
reports. With this type of credit repair process you are able to monitor your
case, but most importantly you are able to witness the results first hand. When
you see deleted items you know we are doing our job. Then simply forward those
results to our office so our staff can properly process the new information.
